Support the forge

FoundryOS is free and always will be. Donations don't buy features — they buy verification, so the Freshness catalog can grow deeper and stay proven against every base update.

Donation accounts aren't open yet — they go live with the 1.0 release. Until then the best ways to help are good bug reports and testing release candidates.

Where your support goes

A richer Freshness catalog means more packages that are both newer and proven safe on the FoundryOS base. Proving that takes automated testing — clean-VM installs, snapshots, boot-health checks, and rollbacks — and increasingly AI tooling to triage the results. That work has a real, ongoing cost. Donations offset it directly.

Catalog verification

VM time + AI tokens to install, snapshot, boot-health-check, and roll back each candidate package.

Hardware test matrix

Real-machine runs for the curated hardware-enablement overlay (Mesa, kernel, NVIDIA).

Release infrastructure

Build, signing, and bandwidth for ISOs and the apt repository.

Transparency matters: as this grows, spend will be reported publicly so you can see exactly how contributions turn into catalog coverage.
